School Closure – Monday 25th January 2021

Dear Parents / Carers,

Due to the continuing snowfall and forecast for an overnight freeze, I have consulted with the Governing Body and made the decision that it would be unsafe to open the school tomorrow for the children of critical workers and vulnerable children. Therefore, due to the safety of everyone and possible staff shortages, Woodthorpe will be closed tomorrow. I will contact you again tomorrow afternoon once we know situation for Tuesday.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but these are very challenging times.

The online learning for pupils will still be available for pupils. We will continue to invite pupils to their English and maths lesson through Microsoft Teams in the morning, and the class blog sites will have content for the foundations subjects in the afternoon. Please try to make some free time to enjoy the snow and send us your snowy pictures of your children having fun!

Take good care of yourselves, and we hope to get back to our on-site provision for critical workers and vulnerable pupils as soon as possible and safe to do so. Kind regards

Ms L. McGrath
