Last week of the half term

Good morning,

We have reached the final week of the first half term and what a busy half term it has been: Mental Health Day, Bike to School Week, Harvest, Black History Month… the list goes on!

Some children have also been busy at home completing some excellent homework challenges, and I can see in many reading records that lots of children are enjoying books at home as well as in school.

I would like to encourage more children to have a go at the challenges and to request that all children use their reading records as instructed – these should be taken back and forth from school each day so that daily home reading can be recorded. Parents need only sign to acknowledge the reading rather than comment, unless they wish to do so.

After catching up with a few parents last week, I am looking forward to meeting many more of you this coming week before a well-deserved half term break.

Take care,

Miss E
