Yesterday (Weds) the children in Year 3 were given a Homework sheet (pictured below). In our current Geography topic, we are studying the local area, and we would like the children to research the types of jobs people have in our area and how/ how far they travel to work. The Questionnaire has space for them to ask 15 adults four questions, and the children just need to write simple responses eg
Name: Uncle Joe Job: Engineer. Town:Coventry. How I get to work: Train
We realise they may not find 15 people to ask, but if the children can survey as many working adults as they can, that will be great- the more responses, the more data we will have to collate on Monday.
Many thanks, Mrs Cole
Year 3 had a wonderful time at Stratford Butterfly Farm on Wednesday. The children met and learned lots of facts about plants and butterflies as well as meeting a few other creatures. Some of the children became very attached to the butterflies! Below are just a few photos to show you what we experienced.
Due to Camp Hill not having any facilities for drop off and pick up, we will walk from Woodthorpe together. We will leave Woodthorpe at 8.55am and be back for pick up at Woodthorpe for 3.15.
When we are at Camp Hill, we will be situated in the Kings Edwards teaching school block which is a shared building that both schools use.
Please can I ask all children to not bring their PE kit into school next week but instead wear PE shoes to school every day. Children will also need to bring a small water bottle and their packed lunch, unless they have free school meals.
Spellings to be tested Monday 21st May (apostrophes must be used correctly to be correct!)
